At Sandton Kitchens, I work with solid wood. If the wood is available we will make anything from a piece of custom built furniture to a kitchen. Here are just a few examples of the wood I have worked with in the past. The list of different wood species that I have used is fairly long, starting with Ash and ending with Zebrano. Some wood types I have used more often than others.

The rarest wood I have worked with is Patryshout, A client had a piece that he had inherited along the way and had been in his garage for years, We turned the slab into a desk top. The most commonly used wood has to be either Pine or Blue Gum (Saligna) I was lucky enough to find a load of camphor a number of years ago and made some furniture with it. I have also used a fair amount of Seringa which is hard to find anymore.

I have made items from small to large using solid wood. If you need a clock, a table or a wardrobe made in solid wood, talk to me. If you want a kitchen with a difference, I will hand craft it from the wood of your choice.
